CouchPotato for Ubuntu 14.04 will get you all of the feature length media files you desire from a watchlist you have created. It can grab the media files from either usenet or torrents in your automated system.<\/h3>\n

Let get the dependency and GIT installed <\/strong><\/p>\n

apt-get update && apt-get install git-core libffi-dev libssl-dev zlib1g-dev libxslt1-dev libxml2-dev python python-pip python-dev build-essential -y<\/code><\/p>\n

Now lets use GIT to clone the current release<\/strong><\/p>\n

git clone https:\/\/github.com\/RuudBurger\/CouchPotatoServer \/opt\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n

Change the ownership of the CouchPotato directory to your user<\/strong><\/p>\n

chown -R user:user \/opt\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n

 Test if CouchPotato works<\/strong><\/p>\n

python \/opt\/couchpotato\/CouchPotato.py --daemon<\/code><\/p>\n

You should be able to see the CouchPotato web interface on<\/strong> http:\/\/ip.address:5050<\/code><\/p>\n

Now Lets get Couchpotato to start on boot<\/h2>\n

Copy the default CouchPotato init<\/strong><\/p>\n

cp \/opt\/couchpotato\/init\/ubuntu.default \/etc\/default\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n

Open the configuration file<\/strong><\/p>\n

nano \/etc\/default\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n

Add or change the following lines, “username\"<\/code> is your log on user<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

# COPY THIS FILE TO \/etc\/default\/couchpotato \r\n# OPTIONS: CP_HOME, CP_USER, CP_DATA, CP_PIDFILE, PYTHON_BIN, CP_OPTS, SSD_OPTS\r\n\r\nCP_HOME=\/opt\/couchpotato\r\nCP_DATA=\/opt\/couchpotato\r\nCP_USER=yourusername\r\nCP_PIDFILE=\/home\/yourusername\/.couchpotato.pid<\/pre>\n
 Press Ctrl+X, press Y and then Enter to save and leave nano.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Copy the default CouchPotato init.d file<\/strong><\/p>\n
cp \/opt\/couchpotato\/init\/ubuntu \/etc\/init.d\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n
Make the file executable<\/strong><\/p>\n
chmod +x \/etc\/init.d\/couchpotato<\/code><\/p>\n
Update so CouchPotato autostarts on boot<\/p>\n
update-rc.d couchpotato defaults<\/code><\/p>\n
 Now your All set!<\/strong><\/p>\n
