Gamers and fans of James Bond films have waited for it for more than a decade now. The James Bond 2016 game GoldenEye: Source is now available to download online for PC, and it’s free.
The first person shooter game also has 25 recreated maps and 10 multiplayer modes. In addition, GoldenEye: Source features all updated versions of the original 28 weapons.
GoldenEye: Source was recreated by only volunteer developers. They used the Valve’s Source engine, which also created Counter Strike and Half-Life.
The engine gives a high definition experience. So, expect significantly less pixelated Cradle mission and Aztec adventures

The team who updated the game says the GoldenEye: Source would help older gamers recall the past and reunite with their friends.
“This is a project made by fans, for fans,” the team said on their website. “Whether you want to reminisce in some of your fondest console memories, or team up against your best friends all over again, we hope that GoldenEye: Source provides you the means to do so.”
GoldenEye: Source was released after a successful crowdfunding. To date, due to small number of developers and a bit lack of resources, the game only features a multiplayer mode.
“One of our goals with 5.0 was to put considerable effort into maintaining a steady playerbase so that people can always find others to play with,” the team said. “One of many approaches we are taking to achieve this is by hosting community events and offering exclusive cosmetic skins as rewards to players that participate.”
GoldenEye: Source is a total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made artistic recreation, released for free, with a primary goal in mind; To bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source’ Orange Box Technology.
